Sand Cat

The Sand Cat (Felis margarita) is a wild cat native to Africa and Asia and suited to extreme heat and deserts far from water.  They can go weeks without water and their acute sense of hearing suits them well hunting in an arid world.  They are noted as very adept snake killers, too!
