The opening of Marvelocity: The Art of Alex Ross and the meet and greet with Ted Rechlin—Rextooth Studio’s award-winning natural history graphic novelist—is reserved for Museum of the Rockies (MOR) members. You can register to become a member of the MOR's history museum here.
Meet and Greet Local Award-Winning Graphic Novelist Ted Rechlin
Ted Rechlin, the creative director of Rextooth Studios, will be present at the members-only joint opening of Marvelocity: The Art of Alex Ross and Under the Arctic: Digging into Permafrost. Rechlin will celebrate the incredible work of Alex Ross by teaching attendees about the graphic novel creation process and by leading a guided graphic novel creation class.
Rextooth Studios hopes that first-hand experience with Rechlin will help museum members gain a deeper understanding and respect for the incredible work that Alex Ross has created throughout his career.
Marvelocity: The Art of Alex Ross
Alex Ross is world-renowned as one of the greatest artists in the field of comic books. Ross has devoted his 30 year career to elevating the most iconic characters in today’s superhero media into something more akin to works of fine art than anything else. Ross has revitalized characters from the Marvel Universe like Spider-Man, Captain America, Iron Man, the Avengers, Black Panther, the x-Men’s Storm, and many more.
The Museum of the Rockies will display items like sketches, childhood drawings, paintings, and an exclusive video interview detailing the creation of Marvelocity by Alex Ross. Marvelocity: The Art of Alex Ross will remain open from January 28 through May 7, 2023.
